SAUDI ARABIA – A first-time overseas Filipino worker hanged herself inside her accommodation in Damman last October 23.
A housemate discovered the body of Carolyn Comilang at 2:45 p.m. A cloth used as a rope was found tied around her neck.
The Kabacan, Cotabato native had been working as a nurse at the Ram Dental Care for over two months.
“We have [a] nurse, her name [is] Carolyn Comilang. She killed herself in her accommodation in Dammam. She left a letter for her friend, ‘Goodbye, I’d like to sleep, I am tired’,” said Ahmed Al-Mehaissen, liaisaon officer of Ram Dental Care.
The 25-year old nurse had sleeping problems for more than a week before her death.
Comilang also consulted a doctor about her problem. She had an appointment with the doctor on the day she was found dead.
Her friends and co-workers could not believe the sad news.
“All her friends said she is a good lady. I asked the doctor, the doctor said she is a good lady,” said Al-Mehaissen.
Labor attiache Alex Padaen of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office has coordinated with Comilang’s employer for the immediate repatriation of the OFW’s remains
