An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Kuwait cries for justice against the employer who abused her.
Her name is Maribel Ledesma, a caregiver with the same story as her fellow OFWs—she flew to Kuwait in the hopes that she would provide a better life for her family.
However, like many OFW stories, she was physically abused by her employer. In a photo album shared by her coworker—Mae Joy Aller—on Facebook, her face and arms were covered in bruises, her left arm on a cast.
She reached out to the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait on August of 2015, but she continues to remain in the embassy today, with no resolution on her case.
Aller is reaching out to her Facebook friends in the hopes that Ledesma’s case could quickly be resolved.
