Five Filipinos were taken into custody in Thailand before they could board their flight at Don Mueang airport after police sound a stolen diamond necklace in their luggage.

According to a report on Bangkok Post stated that the Filipinos were believed to have worked as a gang to steal the necklace worth THB300,000 (PHP411,810) at the Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi.

Poramin Thaharian, the owner of the stolen necklace, contacted police after he noticed the necklace was missing from its display cabinet around 6:00p.m. on September 7.
