Authorities are looking for an ex-OFW who is the suspect of the slain of fellow Filipino then placed him in a septic tank in South Korea, said the Department of Foreign Affairs on Saturday.
According to the DFA, skeletal remains of a man was found inside a septic tank in a factory in South Korea on April. It was identified that the remains belongs to a Filipino man who went missing for two years.
Korean authorities also identified the assailant, who is also a Filipino.
South Korean authorities coordinated with the Philippine National Police as well as the Interpol to find the suspect who has escaped after committing the crime.
According to reports, the victim arrived in South Korean way back 2016. He worked in the factory where his body was later found.
The Department of Foreign Affairs didn’t released the identity of the suspect as well as his victim though they already positively identified the latter through DNA testing.
The motive of the suspect upon committing the crime remains unknown. When arrested, he will face certain charges and will face jail time over his crime.
Moreover, there is no further update if the family of the victim has been notified over the incident.
