A child from Singapore sustained severe trauma after witnessing the suicide of her nanny.
Overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Marivic Salvoza was left by her employers with their five-year-old child to go to Finland to celebrate the Chinese New Year there.
Salvoza used her employers’ absence, and the crying child, as the motivation to finally commit suicide.
Each room in the condominium in Versilla in Haig, Singapore was soundproof, which was why no one heard the child crying until the employers came back five days later.
At present, the child could not respond when ask; instead, she would continue crying.
According to Salvoza’s aunt in San Miguel, Iloilo, the cause for suicide was still unknown. However, she had received a message that should anything bad happen to her, it is her Indian boyfriend who should be blamed.
