Korea is offering approximately 7,000 jobs for interested Filipino workers. They are expected to work in rubber, plastic and metal factories, manufacturing of electronic components, and food products.
Marvin went to the job fair conducted by DOLE to look for a job fitted for him. If possible, he wants to work abroad so his work experience will broaden. He dreams of going to South Korea to work in the largest electronics manufacturing company of the world. His edge would be his capacity to speak Korean language fluently.
The Philippine Government and Korean Government had an agreement of allowing Filipino worker to work in their country since their industry of manufacturing is really huge.
Last 2015, a total of 4,600 Filipinos were sent to Korea for work but for 2016, their quota for allowed Filipino workers has reached to approximately 6,800 Filipino workers.
According to DOLE, this just goes to show that Koreans believe in the quality of work offered by Filipino workers.
Despite the huge number of job openings, applicants should still pass the health examination. Applicants should also have the ability to speak and read the Korean language, so it is also needed to pass the language test. It is also important to be employed legally and should possess an Overseas Employment Certificate.
Government to Government special hiring offers a great help because this way, their welfare will be taken-cared of.
The Philippine Government sees to it the Filipino workers will not be taken advantage when it comes to salary and benefits.
Kuwait is also looking for 240 Filipino workers. Aside from the good salary, they are also covered with a lot of benefits.
