LOOK Money Extortion Alleged Happening At The Bureau of Customs Caught On Cam!

Nicanor Faeldon proudly introduced the 200+ CCTV cameras which was installed all over the Bureau of Customs. After the press-con, he gave the media a CCTV copy of alleged money extortion happening inside the office of a port operation in Manila South Harbour.

In the video, you can clearly see an employee receiving P1000 which was then passed on to the table of another employee. In the next transactions, it was caught that another individual gave money to the officer and was placed instantly inside the drawer.

Faeldon said that every employee is allowed to only receive documents. Faeldon also added that this is only the first part of the investigation towards the employees.

He also added that they are constantly warning these suspected employees for 60 days already. But according to one employee, he claimed that they are under the Philippines Port Authority and not with port operators. The money was said to be for the warfage fee and they are also issuing receipts. They are also willing to go under investigation regarding the matter.

On the other hand, BOC will give the said CCTV video to the Department of Justice to sue those employees.

Their intention is to create transparency to all transaction and plans to make the CCTV footage accessible to everyone.
