A Filipina kid fell from the fourth floor of the apartment they are renting in Singapore. The child suffered serious injuries following the fall but miraculously lived.
The girl, Sachi Hailey Unique Cruz, was said to be alone in their rented flat because her grandmother went out to buy something in a nearby market.
The child’s mother, Jenica Julien Santelices, said in an interview that the door and windows in their flat were all closed when her mother left. But when her mother arrived, police authorities were already in the area.
“She went up to our flat and looked for Sachi but she was not in the apartment and the window was open,”Santelices relates.
“My mother went downstairs nervously to check what was happening and saw Sachi on the ground, together with the police and lots of people.”
The child was immediately taken to the Changi General Hospital.
Fortunately, the child survived the fall but she had injuries in her spine and shoulder. Sachi also succumbed to internal bleeding affecting her liver and lungs.
As of today, she’s fine, the internal bleeding has stopped and we’re just waiting for the MRI this Friday to know if she needs an operation,” Santelices said.
Santelices is asking for help because her family cannot support her daughter’s hospitalization.
“The only problem is we are in need of financial (help) to support her medical expenses,” she said.
