As they say, “Love knows no boundaries” – this is especially true to couple Marissa and Johnny.
Marissa is from Davao, Philippines and Johnny are from the United States. They met each other on Facebook and their relationship blossomed as they continued to communicate with each other.
On the 4th year anniversary of the couple, Marissa decided to share their love story on Facebook which eventually garnered lots of likes and shares.
Long-distance relationship is never that easy for the couple. But with regular communication, they were able to bridge the gap in their relationship.
After one year and six months, Johnny decided to visit Marissa in the Philippines. Then, they decided to level up their relationship. Johnny proposed marriage to Marissa.
We all know that going to the US is never that easy, even if you are about to marry a US national. According to Marissa, she has gone through a lot of stress and hardships especially with preparations for her papers and the processing of her visa. But fortunately, everything went smoothly and Marissa left the Philippines to finally be with Johnny.
They married in the United States and started a family. But the life away from your hometown and your relatives is not very easy for Marissa. She had insecurities and couldn’t speak English very well.
But thanks to the support of her husband, she was able to get through with all of the changes in her life. Now, they are living a happy married life with their two children.
Indeed, love is stronger than distance.
