An Overseas Filipino Worker in Dammam, Saudi Arabia almost lost her precious eyesight after her employer physically abused the poor Filipina.
Because of too much pain and suffering, the victim Daisy Baldonado from Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat decided to seek help in a local radio station in the Philippines. Through a friend, all her sufferings were revealed to the public.
According to reports, the victim was being rented for work into her employer’s friends for 10 hours every day. Despite that, she was also asked to work first in her employer’s house before being sent to another household.

Because of too much work, the victim decided to decline the offer but her employer became frustrated then slapped and an object almost pierced her eyes. Because of the incident, the victim’s face became swollen and almost became blinded.
Baldonado is expecting help from government agencies, especially MMML Recruitment Services who helped her arrange all the necessary documents for her to work abroad.
According to the Overseas Worker and Welfare Administration (OWWA) they will definitely inform the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Saudi Arabia regarding Baldonado’s situation. OWWA will also coordinate with her recruitment agency in the Philippines for her fast return to the country.
