Presidential Aspirant Rodrigo Duterte gains the support of OFWs from all over the world.
More than 600,000 OFWs joined the 162 chapters of Duterte supporters all over the world. According to the campaign manager of Mayor Duterte, for the previous months, the campaign efforts were not consolidated, which is why they’ve decided to strengthen the OFW sector.
The said groups were formed since 2014, during the rumored presidential candidacy of Duterte. They’ve also encouraged him to run for the presidential race coming up with official campaign strategy “Rody Duterte Global Supporters”. They also have official Identification cards with the signature of their candidate.

A quick search on Facebook will reveal the huge number of Duterte supporters. Corpuz, Duterte’s campaign manager, claims that among the 1.3 million voters, majority of it wants Duterte as president. He added that no one gave them any orders and they were all volunteers to help Duterte for his candidacy.
Aside from the proclaimed groups, some supporters are pronouncing their support individually through taking selfies with Duterte or mainly using hashtags as their means of support.
Individual supporters are printing free t-shirts and vanity plates “DU30”, placed in their cars.
OFWs proclaimed their disappointment with the current management stating that, they weren’t able to receive adequate actions with cases such as the bullet scam in NAIA, pilfering of balikbayan boxes and a lot more.
