OFWs Victimized By An Online Paluwagan, Now The Founder Is Facing Large Scale Estafa

Overseas Filipino Workers are always prone to scams and different illegal activities online. Another investment scam reportedly took P17 million from her victims which are mostly OFWs.

Jay-Ann Lozada was arrested last Thursday at Paranaque City because of complaints from Overseas Filipino Workers. Lozada is allegedly the owner and founder of “Anne Diyosa Love Online Paluwagan”. Her business is targeting Facebook users to lure investors.

Jessa Hernandez, one of the investors, said that they were totally lured to the investment scam because the earnings are really good. The capital will be given back in two folds.

At first, the investors were able to earn something out of their investment. Abby, an investor, said that she invested P20,000 and in 3 days, her investment became P28,000. He let her money kept on rolling hoping that it will grow more. But then, after a few months, Lozada declared bankruptcy.

Investors started to pour their complaints and filed a case in the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group. A large scale estafa is currently been filed against Lozada but she firmly denied all allegations.

According to Lozada, her business came to bankruptcy because of the huge pay out she is giving to her investors.
