Is it allowed to carry and check in a television (LED, Plasma, LCD) bought abroad when you travel back to the Philippines?
That is the question of many OFWs these days. No one certainly likes to get stocked in the airport just because of carrying a television.
To clear all doubts, there are instances in which a television is allowed for hand carry. You simply need to consider the airline requirements. Most airline requires 7 kilogram hand carry baggage and 158 cm (transatlantic flights), 300 cm (for other flights), 23kg to 32kg for check-in baggage.
So if the size of your TV meets the airline requirement, you are therefore allowed to bring hand-carry it. But airlines reminds all passengers to secure such fragile items and will be required to sign a waiver for damaged or defects.
There are also OFWs who confirmed about this information stating that they are allowed to bring 32 inches television and some even had the chance to carry their 40 inches television.
To avoid untoward incidents like damage and taxes from BOC, it is also a great option to buy television in the Philippines.

Bahrain to Manila with 32 inch and 40 inch LED TV mga 4 times na ako nakapagdala in different occasions. (Hindi lahat ako ang may-ari.). Twice sa Etihad and twice sa Gulf Air. Ok naman at walang prolema sa airlines or sa customs sa atin. Try ko naman mag uwi 55 inches sa March.

KSA to PH, you can bring up to 43 inches with no extra charges, But above that size limit, i have no idea.
