April Lorenzo, 24, had 3 children in the Philippines and is from Barangay 22, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte. Fortunately, Lorenzo is now in the good hands of Philippine Embassy in Brunei. She received help from a fellow Filipino worker. Authorities are now looking through her case.
Noralyn Ganasao, mother of Lorenzo, first knew the situation of her daughter from her other children also working in Brunei.
Lozenzo was allegedly not allowed to take days offs and her wages is not given to her on time. Small mistakes and she is gravely punished.
A concern citizen posted a photo of Lorenzo in Facebook, asking for some help from the Philippine government.
Lorenzo worked in Brunei since September of 2015 and currently has 18-month contract.
