Filipina Found Not Guilty Over Allegations of Attacking an 8-Month Old Patient

A Filipina nurse in Hickory Hills, Illinois was convicted not guilty of the aggravated battery charges after an attacking incident involving an 8-month-old baby. The incident happened in 2016 at the University of Illinois Hospital.

The court trial that lasted for almost 2 years has finally ended. According to the Fil-Am nurse, she cannot describe the happiness that she’s feeling.

“Para akong nabunutan ng malaking tinik at first time nakahinga ng maganda,” said 52-year-old Crispiniana Domingo in a Thanksgiving celebration.

Domingo described her experience while inside the jail as ‘living hell’. Domingo served in the said hospital for 16 long years.

“Truth always prevails. My faith became strong and deeper. God is the only solution and answer to everything,” Domingo added.

Fortunately, Domingo has kind-hearted friends and family who walked with her every set of the way. Domingo thinks that she was able to overcome all the hardships throughout the case through the help of the Filipino community in Illinois and her church mates.

Domingo also does not have further plans of pursuing her career as a nurse. Instead, she is planning to help others by becoming a missionary.

There are a lot of Filipino workers all over the world who are wrongly accused of crimes that they never committed. Some of them have to suffer long jail terms while others are proven innocent. Nonetheless, there’s indeed no certainty in life, much more in your life outside your own country.
