A Filipina in Florida, America was sentenced to 110 years imprisonment after she was involved in a murder case.
According to GMA News, the court found Katherine Magbanua guilty of the murder of a University professor, Dan Markel in 2014.
Magbanua acted as a middle man of Charles Adelson, who ordered the killing and the gunman was identified as Sigfredo Garcia.
It was revealed that the crime happened because of the messy divorce of Markel and Adelson. The gunman was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2019 while Adelson was currently mitigated of the crime.
Magbanua will appeal the verdict.
Most of the time, divorce cases are messy and drags a lot of attention from the members of both families. These incidents results to confrontations and surge of emotions. In this case, a life has been lost and the perpetrations are being subjected to serious punishments for their crime.
