Another netizen has made some nasty comments about overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and once again, everyone else’s reactions to her comments were very negative.
Facebook page “Online Videos Philippines” posted screenshots of a post of one Jullie Anne Valiente, who posted selfies with the caption that OFWs are “gunggong” or idiots. She compared the faces of OFWs to her own butt.
Another Facebook post of this Valiente said she wants to shove the faces of OFWs in the toilet. She also referred to OFWs as gross and have appearances similar to monkeys.
She ended that post by saying “At least I’m beautiful.”
The screenshots from Online Videos Philippines earned 1,135 likes, 1,644 shares, and many angry comments.
While others are giving her the benefit of the doubt, many have criticized Valiente for being ignorant and shallow. Netizens also pointed out that OFWs have contributed so much to the country and shouldn’t be spoken of that way.
Search of her name of Facebook, however, lead to no profile page results. Her Facebook profile has allegedly been deleted following the backlash.
