Three Filipinos in Saudi, Arabia were allegedly arrested for terrorism. A total of 44 people were arrested from the Philippines, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and KSA.
The Department of Foreign Affairs together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines are verifying reports of imprisonment of three Filipino because of alleged involvement with terrorism activities.
A high-ranking official said that the three Filipinos were not recruited directly from the Philippines. The statement was released because of a video circulating online over alleged recruitment of members in the Philippines.
On the other hand, Philippine embassy spokesperson clarified that they weren’t able to receive any notification regarding the incident.
A series of anti-terrorist activities were conducted since December 23 up to 31 and 44 persons were already arrested.
There are already 47 people executed over terrorism activities and the number continues to rise over time.
