Metro Manila – An OFW who recently arrived from Hong Kong lost an expensive hand bag that she carried inside Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal III last Monday, September 12.
The victim, Johaima Alug, allegedly arrived through Cebu Pacific Flight 5J111. According to her, she was dining at Wendy’s branch with her family when the incident happened. Her bag was a Longchamp approximately amounting to HK$4,500 to HK$10,950. It also contained valuables such as her passport and cards.
As they looked at the CCTV footage which is around 2:18 p.m., they saw 5 people ( 2 men and three women) who worked together to steal the expensive bag.
Chief Supt. Mao Aplasca is investigating the issue and hopes to capture the suspects as soon as possible. In addition to the security proceedings of the international airport, police officers in civilian clothes are deployed in areas where families mostly stay before their departure and arrival time in NAIA.
