  1. Lay out of your house

When we are younger, we want to build our own house. So, let’s say you finally built your dream house and want to show it off to your friends on Facebook.

So, you took photos and recorded videos in each rooms and entry ways and you posted it on your Facebook account so other people can see how grandeur it is. What you did was to invite burglars to know the exact lay out of your house. It will be 100 times easier for them to get around your house once they break in.

  1. Post copy & paste status updates

You’ve seen these status updates that have been floating around Facebook for years:

Facebook is going to start charging on February 21st and unless you want to get charged you need to post this status update saying you do not agree to being charged for the service. You also need to go pet a unicorn while wearing a Speedo and rollerblades.

Before reposting this status use your common sense. Analyze everything that you read to avoid making a fool of yourself and uneducated.

That’s why it is important to research if the post is true or not. Don’t just post it because most of your Facebook friends did. Most of these things are completely false anyway.

  1. Complaints about your boss

Facebook is one way to “air out” how you feel and that’s not the purpose of Facebook. Its purpose is to socialize and not cause rift.

There are instances that you got caught up with your pile of work and post a status about your nagging boss. Your boss and co-workers have Facebook too. Eventually they can read your status. It will not reflect on your image well.

It is best advised to rant with your family and close friends instead of posting on Facebook wherein everyone can read it.

Business Page

  1. Political or Religious Belief

Talking about politics and religion on your business page are sore topics. Remember each of your customers or individual has their own beliefs. A stand that they will fight for.

If you badly want to post about these topics just be ready to alienate half of your potential customers. So, it is best to steer clear with these.

  1. Ask people to like your page

Begging someone to like your page must not be implemented in your company. It will make your company less attractive and it will likely not going to happen.

Especially if you ask them to like your page which they have already “liked” it will make them unimportant.

  1. Random Pictures of your staff that have nothing to do with your biz

You don’t need to post every staff meeting while drinking Starbucks coffee. Your company will look like you’re not accomplishing something since you are always online.

But pictures with your staff during team building and celebrating an award must be uploaded and not the daily grind.
