Manila Philippines : Having an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm job at the office while having children at home are not possible at all. You need to have a helper or someone to take care of your children in order for you to provide for your family’s needs.

Sarah Advincula and her husband, parents of two boys hired a nanny to take care of their kids while working at the office.  Their hired help of 5 months, Danise Rosa, 18 years old stole worth P100,000 of jewelleries from their locked bedroom.

When they arrived at home, their bedroom was in chaos. Everything was messed up. According their eldest son, he saw Danise went out while carrying his baby brother with her. Good thing was he went after them. Danise told him that his parents instructed her to bring his brother along with her but he didn’t believed her and got his brother back.

Sarah and her husband reported the incident. They were surprised that Danise went back to their house and pretended that nothing happened. But, she was arrested by the police. To her defense, she was a victim of the “dugo-dugo gang” wherein a lawyer called her that her bosses got into an accident and requested to bring the jewelleries.

According to the police, this is their act to rob someone off. They are very well-trained and knowledgeable on what they are going to do.  Often times, they pretended to be a housemaid so that it will be easier for them to steal because they already know the ins and outs and the schedule of their bosses.

Therefore it is advisable that before getting a hired help take a background check if possible. Also, require those documents such as NBI and police clearance. This is a way to ensure your safety. Remember, you leave them your home not your house.
