A Filipino-owned restaurant in Canada is declared as one of the best restaurant in Ottawa. Tamis Café which was owned by Lito and Liza Sare, Filipino couple, was hailed one of the best by restaurant critic and blogger, Peter Hum.
Lito and Liza Sare have two children, Jessica and Jiselle. They migrated to Canada last 2001.

According to Hum, Tamis Café is a humble yet worthy of praise. It is independently owned by the family and ranks as one of those distinctive eateries in Ottawa. Hum added that Tamis Café provides savory and sweet taste of Manila into Glebe. Simple and home-style is what makes it priceless.
