The Duterte Cabinet approved on Tuesday the creation of an identification card system for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), a Palace official said.
Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) can avail soon of an identification card specifically tailored to make it easier to avail of government services while in the Philippines.
Using the special ID card, OFWs can easily transact with government and private agencies, and access their records in government agencies.
They can also use it as a debit card or use it to withdraw money from ATMs.
OFWs can also use it, like a Beep card, to purchase rides on Metro Rail Transit (MRT) or Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains.
