Being away from their loved-ones is one thing OFWs need to sarifice in their pursuit to having a comfortable life through their big earnings abroad. However, while being away, sadly, some of them had lost their loved-ones who searched for happiness from someone else.
In an episode aired by Raffy Tulfo in Action, an OFW working in Jordan claimed to have experienced the same. She then sought Tulfo’s assistance to get some of her money back from her unfaithful partner.
Jinky Vargas claimed to be living with partner named Gabriel when she left to work in Jordan. But two months after, she discovered that Gabriel was having an affair with a woman named Rowena, which Gabriel admitted.
Apparently, when Jinky discovered her partner’s unfaithfulness, she confronted Gabriel whom she said was sorry for what he did. However, during their confrontation, Gabriel denied he was remorseful and claimed he had chosen Rowena over Jinky. But Jinky pleaded that they fix their relationship and continued to support him financially. She also asked him to go home to the province and leave Rowena.
Thinking that Gabriel had separated with Rowena, Jinky continued to send money to Gabriel. But much to her dismay, she discovered last December 2017 that the 2 are still very much together.
With so much anger, Jinky insisted that part of the amount which she had given to Gabriel be returned to her. Out of the approximate amount of P 106,000, she was asking for P20,000 to be returned, which Gabriel agreed but he will pay in staggered basis.
Tulfo suggested that they finalize their agreement in the barangay which they did. Towards the end of the episode, the two have settled their differences and submitted themselves to their agreement.
With all the stories of infidelity and unfaithfulness of people whether the OFW themselves or the partners they’ve left behind, is it still worth it to work abroad when having a happy family and a loyal partner is at stake?
