Fortunately, this Filipina domestic helper was gifted with a kind-hearted employer and ward who treated her like she was part of their family.
From the Philippines, a Filipina who previously worked as a domestic helper was brought to Singapore by her ex-employers because the child that she took care of is getting married. And just like that, the occasion was filled with tears and the Filipina and her ward finally met.
Lita Tabaque served the Singaporean family of Kelly Chua-Toh for 27 years. Throughout the entire time of her service, Lita was treated as part of the family.
Because of that, even though Lita is already staying for good in the Philippines, her brother of Kelly named Keith, made an effort to bring the Filipina to Singapore to witness the wedding of her ward.
“I’ve prepared a very big surprise for you. Are you ready? ” says Keith. “Look over there.”
When Kelly look over the direction, she uttered ‘Oh my God’ upon seeing Lita waving at her. It has been three years since the two didn’t see each other.
Meanwhile, Lita misses her ward who is already 28-years old, and agreed to take part in her wedding. Kelly treats Lita like her second mother and there is no secret kept between them.
“She’s always there to cry with me when I go through a difficult time in my life, and there to celebrate with me whenever there’s a joyous occasion,” says Kelly.
When Lita departed from Singapore, her family of Kelly cried so hard.
