A certain Gerlie Rubrico is facing jail time for two years if she, as a loan guarantor, will refuse to pay the debt of her friend Mariwasa Ulandang to a Saudi National.
Dr. Huda Al Abbad reported the incident which states that, Ulandang borrowed SAR330,00 (P4.17 million) to the Saudi Doctor last 2013. Ulandang is said to have left the country already. She was deported that year since she is undocumented worker and her whereabouts are unknown.
Additionally, Rubrico will also receive 52-56 lashes together with the 2years jail time.

Gerlie Rubrico is working as a nurse in King Fahad Medical City, the largest hospital in Saudi Arabia, for three years already.
Her brother said that Rubrico and Ulandang were co-workers and classmates before. They are appealing to the Philippine Embassy to help them in providing a lawyer for her sister. They are also trying their best to reach Ulandang.
