Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) from Dubai were excited as their plane landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. They also brought lots of ‘pasalubong’ for their loved ones in the Philippines.

Unfortunately, their luggage didn’t arrive and Cebu Pacific staffs don’t have an explanation for this.

Some feared that their luggage was already lost as they were waiting for it for 2 hours already.

Finally, somebody from Cebu Pacific took a stand and explained the reason behind the delay of the luggage.

According to the staff, the luggage were left in Dubai because they do not have enough container to accommodate it. If they should wait for the container of their luggage, their flights to Manila will be delayed.

Cebu Pacific admitted their fault of not announcing their discrepancy to their passengers.

“Humihingi kami ng paumanhin sa mga pasaherong hindi naisakay ‘yung bagahe kanina. Sana nakapag-iwan sila ng kanilang contact details para maihatid sa kanila ‘yung bagahe,” Corporate Communications Director of Cebu Pacific Charo Logarta Lagamon.

Cebu Pacific promised that the delayed luggage will be delivered to the homes of the affected passengers. The luggage will arrive at NAIA tomorrow afternoon.

Moreover, there are still other a lot of hitch happening in the airport as more passengers flock to travel to their desired destination.

Leonar Marsonia is one of the passenger interviewed by GMA News in NAIA who is waiting for her delayed flights. According to her, the scheduled flight she was expecting is delayed causing a lot of trouble and stress on her side. They were also not informed that their flights will be changed.

Despite that, the Manila International Airport Authority said that there are no congestion and there is no reason for the flights to get delayed.

The number of passengers also raised by 10% compared last year. Another problem is the cancelled flights due to the bad weather condition.
