You go abroad in the hopes of providing a better future for your family in the Philippines. However, not all end up in good employers. Some Overseas Filipino Workers, particularly domestic helpers are the ones subjected to ill-treatment of employers and it’s like a never stopping scenario despite the constant efforts of the President to stop and end it.
Another OFW in Saudi Arabia is asking for help because she is being treated cruelly by her employer.
Cathy Trumpo posted a video on her social media account showing herself with bruises all over her body. She was not able to say anything in the video, which created confusion towards the netizens.
But one netizen took her side and defended her by saying that her employer who caused all the bruises and wounds in her body might be near, prompting her to do the video without producing any sound.
If her employer is really strict on her, the netizen might be really right. There’s a huge chance that her mobile phone, her only means of communication to the outside world, might get confiscated.
In the caption of the video, she also stated that her agency refused to send her help. Her employer started to treat her badly for two weeks up until now.
As of the moment, the current location and state of the Filipina remain unknown.
