A person accused of possessing illegal drugs is not new anymore. In the midst of the Philippines’ war on drugs, hundreds if not thousands of lives were claimed and the arrest of suspected drug addicts continues.

However, there are suspects claiming their innocence after they are caught by policemen.

A certain MaricelBitangcol shared a post on Facebook asking for help as his husband was arrested by police for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Maricel, who hails from Brgy.Burabod, MacArthur, Leyte, is working as an OFW in Abha, Saudi Arabia. She left her children to her husband but unfortunately, he was arrested by the police over allegations of possessing illegal drugs.

According to Maricel, everything is falsified. From the illegal drugs which were found on her husband’s possession to the allegations that he is using it. The people at their place as well as their children can testify that the drugs were planted on her husband. However, they were barred from talking because the barangay captain is allegedly intimidating them.

Maricel also claims that their children saw a person putting a wallet on the pocket of his husband that contained a sachet of illegal drugs and PhP500.00.

Maricel is helpless as she is still in Saudi, working to sustain the needs of their children. She is calling for help to attain the justice that they deserve as she sternly claims that her husband is innocent.
