An Overseas Filipino Worker in Saudi Arabia is keeping her hopes up despite being diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer.
Shanne Fernandez is still working while undergoing treatment because she is left without a choice as she is supporting her family in the Philippines.
“Laban lang po kahit mahirap,” says Fernandez. “Gusto ko pang mabuhay at makita yung anak ko na lumaki,” she added.
The OFW wants to return to the Philippines so she can see her child. Because of this, she asked for help and Raffy Tulfo was the one who responded to it.
As for her employer, despite knowing that the OFW is suffering from cancer, they still refuse to allow her to return to the Philippines. Her agency is also not providing any help to the OFW.
Lucky, Raffy Tulfo promised that they will help the OFW return to the Philippines very soon.
However, it turns out that the OFW was the one who refuses to return home because her employer is offering her free treatment. The agency of Fernandez didn’t have any lapses in caring for their worker and communicates with her every now and then.
What the OFW really wants is to ask for financial help when she returns to the Philippines after the chemotherapy treatment which will be offered for free by her employer.
Raffy Tulfo promised to provide financial help to the sick OFW.
