Just to escape from her abusive employers, an Overseas Filipino Worker chose the most bizarre way but the most effective one – she used her blanket. But because of what she did, the life of 28-year-old OFW identified only as Jenny was placed in jeopardy.

According to some eyewitnesses, the Filipina went outside the window while holding a blanket. Unfortunately, Jenny failed to hold tightly into the blanket causing her to fall to the ground.

Following the incident, Jenny received much-needed help from the Filipino community in Paris as well as the ABS-CBN News. Jenny was immediately brought to the hospital and given proper treatment.

When the employer of Jenny woke up, they were flustered and angry. But they were left without a choice but to allow Jenny to be taken to the hospital.

According to Jenny, she was taken by her employer from Qatar to France and worked as a domestic helper. But when they arrived in the country, Jenny was maltreated and illegally confined.

Filcom leader in Paris, Lito Gomez called the ABS-CBN so the incident will get documented which will serve as proof.

Jenny is currently at the hospital recuperating. She was able to relate her experiences with her employer.

After Jenny recovers, the Philippine Embassy will help her return to the Philippines.
