A Filipina overseas worker from Dipolog City was shot de4d in Lebanon after being attacked by the son of her employer, according to a report from RMN Network News.
The victim was identified as Honeylith Cabrera Zamoras, a resident of Barangay Olingan, Dipolog City, in Zamboanga del Norte. She was k!lled after being shot inside her employer’s residence—an incident that has shocked both her family and the Filipino community abroad.
Authorities confirmed that Zamoras was not the only victim. Another Filipina OFW, identified as Ronagen Gayoso, was also killed in the same attack.
According to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Zamboanga del Norte, they were informed of the incident after the victim’s family personally sought assistance on April 17. Since then, the family has been closely coordinating with OWWA and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to determine the full details surrounding the tragedy.
As of now, the motive behind the k!lling remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing in Lebanon.
The sudden and violent deaths of the two OFWs have left their families devastated, as they now seek justice and immediate assistance for repatriation and legal support.
The case has once again raised serious concerns over the safety and protection of Filipino workers abroad—especially those working in private households where risks are often unseen.
Authorities assured that they are monitoring the situation closely while extending support to the victims’ families.
Calls for justice continue to grow for Honeylith Cabrera Zamoras and Ronagen Gayoso.
