An OFW asks for help that his post be known after he was swindled by a person who pretended to be Raffy Tulfo.
Anthony France Balacutan, an OFW working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia appealed for help on his Facebook account after a person disguised himself and pretended to be ‘Raffy Tulfo’.
According to Balacutan, he sent an e-mail message to Raffy Tulfo in Action to ask for assistance for his wife has abandoned their children after he left the Philippines.
Confused and feeling devastated to know that the lover of his wife even posted on social media their alleged love affair, he sought for Raffy Tulfo’s help regarding his case.
Balacutan said, after he messaged Raffy Tulfo, he received a friend request from a certain ‘Raffy Tulfo’. Overwhelmed that the one he was adding was the real Raffy Tulfo, he excitedly accepted the friend request and started discussing his problem.
As his post doesn’t clearly state how far they’ve went thru in telling his personal problem, Anthony said, the man who identified himself as ‘Raffy Tulfo’ asked him to pay P6,500.00 as processing fee in order that assistance be given to him.
Hopeful that assistance will be given to him to solve the problem with his wife, Balacutan sent the money to his child thru “Smart Padala”.
It was then later on that he realized that he was swindled. The man who identified himself as ‘Raffy Tulfo’ was not the real RAFFY TULFO.
Balacutan added that there was another one who has been victimized by this kind of modus operandi.
While this may seem not something new anymore, may this serve as a reminder to everyone.
I could recall how often Tulfo brothers have been warning the public about these cases and that they will never ask for money in exchange of their services to the public.
May this be a reminder not only for the OFWs but for each one of us to be extra cautious in dealing with suspicious people.
Balacutan asked that his post be passed on so many would be warned.
