Today, February 12, 2018, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III signs an Administrative Order implementing total OFW deployment ban to Kuwait.
The Memorandum was signed by the Secretary which states:
“In pursuit of national interest, and with the advent of series of reports involving abuse and deaths of Overseas Filipino Workers in Kuwait, a total ban on deployment of all Overseas Filipino Workers to Kuwait pursuant to the directive of the President of the Philippines is hereby enforced.
The order takes effect immediately.”
