After allegedly suffering from failed medical operation, this Overseas Filipino Worker in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is asking for help from the Philippine Consulate to sue a doctor over medical malpractice.
A certain Jomel Barangan said that he suffered an infection after his doctor hit vital organs during the operation. The doctor was not named in his report. After the alleged malpractice, the condition of Barangan became even worst.
Now, Barangan is asking for help from the Philippine consulate so he can sue the doctor who conducted the operation. Aside from the doctor’s negligence, he is also complaining that the hospital did not gave him any consideration following the incident.According to the reports.
“The reason behind my sudden discharge was the hospital’s lack of medical tools. They can’t handle my condition so they let me ride a taxi carrying a pipe despite my condition” said Barangan.
His new doctor tried to convince him to do another surgery but he was greatly traumatized after the incident, Barangan added.
However, the consulate will readily assist Barangan’s claims.
“We will accompany him to the police station to file for a complaint,” said a staff member.
